"The e-business
Principle"
This book from 2001 tells the story of the once hottest developments in
business: Just a couple of years ago the internet was an academic
network, only being used by students and researchers. Now it's
everywhere and even the smallest company is on-line. This
book tells the whole story: Written by experts from the field and
enhanced by a story on the experiences of Ramono who wonders whether to
"go on-line" with his small fishing business. A description of
e-business out the management and the IT-perspective.
Available in German, Russian and English.

"Communication and Networks"
The book was originally written in 1994 and describes
anything related to computer networks, like protocols, standards,
technologies and on-line work as well as computer communication like
definition languages and distributed working. It is being rated highly
in the internet community for its clear and thorough explanation and the
selection of content. Even though written a while ago, it's still mostly
up-to-date (OK, some technologies like NT or Linux are missing. But
that's it.).
The book is sold out, but an updated version from 1997 is available in
German
on-line.

"OS/2
Version 2"
My first book, written in 1992 when the new version
2.0 of IBM's amazing operating system for PCs came out - the version that IBM finally
chose to (more or less) actively market to the end consumer.
Too bad it
never really took off the ground. It was (and is) a great -if not the
greatest- operating system for PCs (besides Linux?).
The book is no longer on the market of course.
Should you die to receive a copy, though, feel free to
contact me.
It's available in German in print only.
